The Contributors
The projects will be led by contributors. They are the organizers and leaders of their project. As the contributors are found we will add them here!
Miko Weber
28 years old, was born and raised in Hamburg in the
north of Germany. She grew up in the Waldorf
Community which inspired her interest in music
very early in life. After school she broadened her experience and view on the world by travelling through very different cultures and countries, such as the Middle East, South Africa and South East Asia. Her strong sense for positivity and personal development led her to choose Music Therapy as her studies and future profession. This, she has now finished successfully and intends to bring her knowledge about participatory music making to Connect To Create in summer 2015.

Femke Blom
Femke is 25 years old, born in the Netherlands in a small village near Rotterdam. As long as she can remember she always looked at people and the world in all its detail. At the age of 15 she started a photography study and found out that photography helped her to catch all that details and all the beauty around her. After she graduated, she started a study in Anthroposophic Art Therapy to create more depth in her way of perceiving the world and working with others. Besides the traditional Art Therapy methods - such as painting, drawing and clay molding - she taught herself to use photography as a form to express yourself and to connect with your surroundings.
Photography
On Connect To Create she will start by teaching the basics of operating a manual camera and lets you experience the different styles of photography. After that we will do a large variety of photographic exercises to explore yourself, each other, the farm, the elements of nature and everything else imaginable. Together we’ll create a collaborative exposition!
For this workshop you’ll have to bring your own digital camera.

Cláudia Sousa Vaz
Cláudia is 27 years old; she was born in Luxembourg but her family comes from Portugal, where she lived until she the age of 17. Since she was a small girl she has developed an interest for connecting with the world around her, with people and nature, which has led her to move throughout Europe trying all kinds of things, from dance to writing, working with children and adults in very different areas. She studied Fine Art in England and Art Therapy in Germany, where she now lives, and continues developing her work in both areas. Community- and Land-Art have turned to a focus of her work in the last few years.
Land-art
The Nature of Arc en Ciel will be our inspiration for this project, and we’ll be working directly with it as much as we can. We’ll be doing a lot of process-work, exploring different materials and approaches. You’ll be able to work on your own as well as in the group. Together we’ll design and create a final project which will be presented at the Festival at the end of the week!
As much as there’ll be room for your own ideas and for going with the moment, you’ll be guided through the whole process, and need no „artistic“ experience at all!
You’re welcome to bring a sketchbook and a camera if you can, as they can help you documenting your artistic work during the project.

Charlotte van Duijvenboden
Charlotte was born in a town at the seaside in the Netherlands. After living there for 18 years, she moved out to find out what she wanted to do with her life, by getting to know more about her self and the wold around her. She did an antroposofic orientation year, experienced art school, had some (voluntary) jobs in the Netherlands and abroad, traveled to India and lived in Turkey for a while. Then in 2013, a brand new study was started in the Netherlands: Speech & Drama Therapy. She knew that this was exactly the kind of study that she was waiting for. She will start her 3th year of the study in Leiden, where she is also living. Charlotte is very happy to be a student in Speech& Drama Therapy , because her interest in human and psychology is now combined with her passion for playing, making stories and performing. In Charlotte's experience, life is full of stories, and stories make life interesting. She wants to use this in the project that she will lead.
Speech and Drama
"Playing and expressing yourself will be an important part of the Speech & Drama Project during Connect to Create. Your body is your instrument in this project. We will use it to express ourselves by making sound & movement. We will work on some exercises to learn how to use speech and drama. With our own stories or stories that appeal to us we will prepare a performance for the festival day.
You don't need to have experience with Speech and/or Drama to join this project."
